To any anime fans out there, what over-used songs and animes I should avoid when making an AMV?

I want to be a little more original and not make an AMV that's already done before(that's a waste time on my part). I would really like to base it on code ge to show about betrayal(if it's not already done). So what would be a good song and episode to use? Cause I'm pretty much an amateur. Please, no anime or AMV bashers.
