Why do Christians have such an addiction to the slave mentality?

your viewing it wrong, and have obviously never taken a serious Look at any religion. It's based on the fact that humans have an inherent predisposition towards selfishness and sin. God simply knows what is best for us and we should strive towards trying to follow his guidance. If we did that than the world would be a better place.
